Electromec WSM can supply and repair a wide range of parts including machined components in stainless steel, aluminium and brass. Older engines and machines often have a very limited supply of replacement external components such as brackets and control fittings. Many of these can be refabricated or repaired.

Welding and Fabrication

Welding is a fabrication process that joins materials, in this case metals, by causing coalescence (to join into a single mass or whole). This is often done by melting the workpieces and adding a filler material to form a pool of molten material (the weld pool). Once cooled this becomes a strong joint.  Pressure is sometimes used in conjunction with heat, or just heat alone, to produce the weld. Electromec WSM uses MMA, MIG or TIG to weld mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.

As well as fabricating metal products, Electromec WSM also manufactures a wide variety of bespoke parts and components for our customer’s needs.

Polishing

Most general polishing may be done with cotton or linen mops according to size and delicacy of the object or work. Various finishes are possible depending on the requirements. Finish categories are:- dull grain, bright grain, dull mirror, bright mirror or mirror finishes. Delicate objects may be polished to achieve the original finish with specialist mops to avoid breakage.
